Product care
1. Wash
Cashmere doesn't require cleaning after every wear. However, it's important to gently care for the garments regularly to keep them free of residue and prevent moths. For fine knit and plain knit garments, we recommend gentle hand washing with a special cashmere detergent. Alternatively, you can wash your garment on the wool or delicates program at a maximum of 30°C – please do not spin and always use a protective laundry net. If stains occur or more intensive cleaning is required, professional cleaning is the safest option.
2. Drying
After washing, lay your cashmere item flat on a towel, gently roll it up, gently squeeze out any excess moisture, and then let it air dry. Please avoid hanging it up, as this can cause it to deform.
3. Smooth
To remove wrinkles or creases, turn the garment inside out and lay it flat. Set your iron to the lowest temperature setting and place a slightly damp cloth between the fabric and the iron to avoid direct contact. If using a handheld steamer, hold it at a distance to gently refresh the fibers.
4. Storage
Store cashmere away from direct sunlight—preferably in a cool, dry drawer or on a shelf. Always fold the pieces, as hanging them can deteriorate their shape. Natural cedarwood balls reliably protect against moths; place them nearby and replace them once a year. For longer storage, a breathable bag is recommended, which protects the precious fiber without enclosing it.
5. Pilling
Fine knots on the surface are a natural process of high-quality cashmere fibers and are caused by friction during wear. Carefully remove these by laying the item flat and gently brushing it with a special cashmere comb. This keeps the surface smooth and preserves the luxurious feel of the material.
